Gongfu
I’ve been working on a series of percussion compositions. For this new piece, I used just one instrument: a mighty 38″ Paiste symphonic gong.

“Why I Love . . . Mountains” in Sound on Sound Magazine
I have a short essay in the March 2020 issue of Sound on Sound magazine.
SOS has a regular column called “Why I Love . . .” When the column began, contributors wrote of their fondness for certain musical instruments and pieces of recording gear. I’ve noticed that lately the content has become more conceptual, more about the life around recording. That’s why I wrote my essay, “Why I Love . . . Mountains.” You can read it here.
