Even If It Kills Me Wins IBPA Silver Medal
Last weekend I was in Austin, Texas, for the thirtieth annual Independent Book Publishers Association Benjamin Franklin Awards. I’m pleased to share that Even If It Kills Me won a silver medal.
Doni and I thought this book might earn a cult following. It never occurred to us that it would win an award. We’d like to thank the IBPA and its judges, our awesome team at YMAA, and of course our readers.
Absa Cape Epic, with Lisa Land, NP
This week on Focus on Your Health, I speak with Lisa Land. She’s a nurse practitioner at KRMC, and she’s also an endurance athlete. She’s about to travel to Cape Town, South Africa, to compete in the Absa Cape Epic mountain bike race. Lisa is one of the 1,300 riders who will cover 409 miles on this incredible eight-day adventure.
Recorded at Kingman Pulmonary Associates, Kingman, Arizona.
Ramblin’ and Gamblin’: Live in Las Vegas, by Brandt Tobler
In October I recorded the awesome stand-up comic Brandt Tobler in concert at L.A. Comedy Club in the Stratosphere. The result is his new record, Ramblin’ and Gamblin’: Live in Las Vegas. It is now available for streaming on iTunes, Spotify, and YouTube.
Brandt is a riot, and we had so much fun working on this project. We’re both excited to share his performance. Here’s a link to one of the tracks:
